African LGBTQ Inc is dedicated to providing vital educational empowerment and support for young LGBTQ+ adults from countries where homosexuality is criminalized. We believe in fostering a safe and inclusive environment where every individual can thrive.
Our counseling and support services
We offer a range of services designed to provide comprehensive support and empowerment to young African LGBTQ+ adults. Our programs are tailored to address the unique challenges faced by our community members.
Educational empowerment
We demand access to free education from Pre-K to higher education for all ages. With that, we demand protections for Black LGBTQIA+ students to ensure a safe space to thrive in their educational careers. We demand all necessities to ensure our Black youth can focus on school, such as but not limited to laundry facilities, free food programs, free school supplies, and free clothes.
Counseling and mental health
A welcoming space where you can learn, share and grow with a like-minded community. Group therapy can help you feel less alone, develop new coping skills, and empower you to meet your goals. Joining a group may seem frightening at first, but it is generally and ultimately a rewarding experience. This page is updated regularly with links to our currently active groups. Instructions for how to join are also included on each group’s link.
Community building and networking
We organize events and initiatives to build a strong, supportive community, allowing young LGBTQ+ adults to connect, share experiences, and form lasting bonds.
Advocacy and legal aid referrals
We connect individuals with legal resources and advocate for human rights, working towards a future where all LGBTQ+ individuals in Africa are protected and respected by law.

Want to be part of a caring community that enacts positive change for the Houston LGBTQ+ community?
First Christian Church Katy periodically sets up tent for events like this, on a month to month basis, basically bringing together LGBTQ+ families closer to the community.
